Copyright And Takedown Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Overview
WeaponsOfConflict.com is a public reference catalog that uses sourced factual text, links, and images selected for documentary, educational, or informational context. We aim to use images conservatively, credit source material where practical, and remove or replace material when a rights holder identifies a valid concern.
Image Sources
Catalog entries may use externally hosted images, public-domain material, openly licensed media, manufacturer or government media, or other source-linked images when they help identify the equipment being documented. Source links are provided for attribution, verification, and licensing review when available.
Request Removal
If you own or represent the rights to an image or other material on this site and want it removed, replaced, or corrected, send a written request to takedown@mischev.net.
Please include:
- The image URL or material you want reviewed.
- The WeaponsOfConflict.com page URL where it appears.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is affected.
- Your name, organization if applicable, and contact email.
- Proof or a clear explanation that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- The action you are requesting, such as removal, replacement, attribution correction, or license correction.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your request is accurate, and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Review Process
We review copyright and takedown requests in good faith. When a request identifies a credible rights issue, we may remove the material, replace it with a better licensed source, update attribution, or ask for more information if the request is incomplete.
The factual catalog entry may remain online after an image or other disputed material is removed or changed.
Counter-Notices And Errors
If you believe material was removed or changed by mistake, contact the same address with the affected page URL, the material at issue, your contact information, and a clear explanation of why the removal or change was mistaken.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site, its image practices, or legal requirements change. The updated date above will show when this page was last revised.
